Kugaaruk New School

The newly built Arviligruaq Ilinniarvik School in Kugaaruk is a two-storey facility covering 4,623m², designed to accommodate students from kindergarten to Grade 12. The school offers specialized Career and Technology Studies (CTS) areas for hands-on learning, including a home studies room, a garage, a wood-working shop, and a large skinning room. Modern classrooms, a science room, and a daycare enhance the educational environment. The building’s mechanical systems include a hydronic heating system, HVAC, plumbing, and a fuel oil system, along with fire protection. Equipment such as boilers, hot water tanks, air handling units (AHU), reheat coils, VAV units, exhaust fans, and heat exchangers contribute to its efficient and reliable operation.
